Seriously one of the most beautiful parks I've been to. So many hiking paths to take, depending on your level and preparation. The elevation definitely kicked our butts- highly recommend taking your water with you instead of leaving it in the car like we did. Breathtaking views!

Great experience! The views are incredible and you will likely be able to see some moose. Make sure to check if reservations are needed for entry or for Bear Lake. The altitude did get to me a bit but it was totally worth it. Just make sure to stay hydrated. Highly recommended!

One of the best and must see park in the US. Amazing views of Rockies with snow caps at top and green vegetation and fauna at the foot of the mountains. There are some best and challenging hikes in the park. It is best for avid hikers or just want to drive around and enjoy the nature.

Made the drive to here from Manitou Springs and it was so worth it. One of the most remarkable, amazing experiences and views I have ever seen so far. I only explored the east side. Get here early! I got there at 7:30AM and there were already cars at the Bear Lake lot. A good amount of hikers as well. I went on 5/19 and there was still snow on the trails. Especially if you start hiking up to Dream and Emerald Lake. Highly recommend hiking poles and spikes. I left around 1:30PM and as I was pulling out of the Bear Lake lot, there was a long line of cars waiting/entering. I can't imagine how packed this place gets during the Summer.

Yes, there are lots of areas to stop and take pictures! There are also areas whith short walking distances to beautiful picture destinations.
Rocky Mountain National Park is always worth going too see, The snow only adds to its BEAUTY
Well it'll be open if they don't get snow but they've been known to get snow in August call ahead chances are it will be
It's beautiful! But you can only drive up a small fraction of the main road. They block the rest off for the winter.
Also consider a good chance of afternoon thunderstorms.
It might be too late. Due to its higher altitude, beginning of October or end of September will be the best time to see fall colors.
The Aspens haven't started changing, but it is still magnificent to see. Trail Ridge Road is still passable & the elk are rutting in September too.
