The phone number for the Building Dept is 352-527-5310. The best thing is to call and ask questions pertaining to your specific project. A permit is required for a shed. Site plans, engineered building plans etc are needed to make application. Once approved, which could take a few weeks, the permit is issued and valid for 6 months.
