If I could have known the level of care my mother had received here, I would NEVER have let her be placed there for rehabilitation. She died three years ago this July due to neglect. She fell out of the bed overnight and sat in bed for 14 hours before the xrays were reviewed, finding a broken hip. She ultimately decided she didn't want to continue living. Prior to the broken hip, she suffered from consistent MRSA infections in her skull from lack of care to her wound on her head. She also has CDIF which is an infection in her intestines and she weighed 89 lbs. They never saw any issues taking her money but the lack of care is absolutely disgusting. This place killed my mother. She should've been there at my wedding, she should see her grand babies getting older. Instead, she lives on in our memories now. Get your family members out and somewhere else now. No one should have to suffer like she did and so many others.

It was great that I had a private room. Definitely under staffed at night. 1st night no wifi in room my TV didn't work. The nurse I had that night yell and i need help. At times i thought of one flew over the cuckoos nest, nurse cratchet. These nurses have a tough job with some of the residents. Please hire more staff at nighted at me and the 2nd night also.the food was terrible iwas allowed to sign out every day and found other places to eat. Most of the staff was kind and helpful, thanks you for that. Let's put it this way there's no way I'd go back. I know I was a pain but I'm a double amputee

This place killed my mother. She left hospital with a colostomy bag and was put in this rehab. After they refused to let me in to see her for a 99.0 fever she got very ill and was brought back to the hospital with sepsis and her bottom was so red from them not moving her around. She was severely dehydrated. She passed only 4 days later from sepsis caused from not being cared for after her colostomy surgery. There was stool all over her bag and it leaked on the inside. I was actually asked by the medical examiner if she fell on it! She very well could've at the rehab and they didn't tell me a thing. They kill people! Don't trust this place like I foolishly did!

This place is horrible. They don't have phones in the patients rooms. They don't have wifi so the patients have to use their cell phone. The cell service us horrible. The food is terrible and small portions. The CNA said she wouldn't even eat there. There is no communication with the patients about their care. My father was there for over a week and they NEVER gave him a shower or bath. The doctor only came in 1 time a week. My father was told he couldn't be discharged on the weekend. So he has to spend yet another weekend in this horrible place.. Don't let your family members to put in this place.

Your length of stay is determined by many factors: your physical condition, any underlying medical conditions, your previous level of independence and where you will go after discharge.
Among others, we offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Physical therapy (PT) examines, evaluates and treats patients with various disorders including musculoskeletal conditions, heart conditions, neurological disorders, wounds, and more. A PT also recommends devices that will assist the patient with function and mobility. Occupational therapy (OT) examines, evaluates and treats patients to afford them improved function in the performance of activities of daily living (ADLs). An OT might train a patient to use medical or adaptive equipment, provide splint fabrication, or perform neuromuscular re-education. OT also includes cognitive retraining associated with ADLs and safety, energy conservation techniques, and sensory deficit compression techniques. Speech therapy evaluates, diagnoses and treats disorders of communication, cognition and language. Sometimes, swallow studies allow for objective assessment of the swallowing function.
The cost of skilled nursing varies depending on where you live, what level of care is provided and what type of accommodations you choose. Most seniors do not usually meet their long-term care needs from any one source. Instead a combination of support private funds, long-term care insurance and government assistance is used to cover the costs. Medicare covers post-hospital, short-term skilled care only and may not cover the cost of ongoing nursing home care. For low-income seniors who meet eligibility requirements, Medicaid might pay a portion of the cost.
Check with the center you are considering and ask them about pet policies. Some centers have pets on site or offer pet therapy that all of the residents can enjoy and interact with.
Yes. Skilled nursing (or nursing home) centers have a full calendar of activities and social events for residents, including art classes, ice cream socials, bingo and game night, prayer service, movie night and much more!
Skilled nursing centers are designed to provide specialized care individuals who have health conditions that require constant monitoring and availability of medical personnel. Skilled nursing centers, also known as nursing homes, provide 24-hour clinical supervision, meals, activities and health management support for their residents.
