Yes rental of tools is not possible for Lowe's however Home Depot does do some tool rental.
Lowes does not rent tools. You can however buy a snake from about $20 up depending on length and style.
I have never noticed a tool rental from lowes. Usually, that would be a home depot item if it's a rental. I also don't believe they rent snakes from what I have found. To purchase one would be from $30 and up pending length and type.
