It depends on the day's weather and personal preferance but we include them in the cost of a SUP rental $35 pp. We have full 4mm wetsuits and sleeveless 3mm wetsuits. We also include a paddling jacket (optional) and lifevest (mandatory). Paddle early in the morning as afternoon winds can limit or cancel SUP rentals. No reservations needed, just walk in!
Yes the Monterey bay area has temperatures that can hibe you hyperthermia if wet suit is not worn. There is no ice or anything of the sorts but this is not a tropical area. The temperature of the weather remains in it high 60 to mid 70's.
