My wife and I took the Adventures By The Sea 17-Mile Drive guided e-bike tour on 7-15-22. We were joined on the tour by another couple. On a positive note, the e-bikes performed well, and the route featured great scenery along the coastline. As a guided tour, however, it was a big disappointment. The problem was that our guide was obviously untrained and inexperienced. From the start, he had minimal interaction with our group. With few exceptions, he spoke only when spoken to. If he was knowledgeable about the area we toured, he didn’t share his knowledge. The pace he kept was too fast which made it difficult for us to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I want to make clear that our poor experience was only partially the fault of our guide. Adventures By The Sea should never have placed an untrained, unqualified individual in a position to guide paying customers. As a former travel writer and longtime cycling enthusiast, I’ve done bike tours throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. While not all have been perfect, until now I’ve never felt compelled to leave a negative review. I paid $159 for my wife and I to book this guided tour. I wish I had just rented bikes and done this great cycling route as a self-guided tour.

Well, we are repeat renters. We rented Bikes for The 17-Mile ride Today. I Told the Staff last Time we rented A year ago, The bikes Weren't fully Charged and Had maintenance Issues. So They assured Me they Would have Them ready To roll At @9 AM. We rented six bikes, one of which had a short, and it wouldn't allow us to use the assist. The second bike had Loose handlebars, and at the end of seventeen miles, my son was riding it with no assistance or handlebars. I wish they would maintain the Bikes! The staff was friendly when we took the bikes out. When I reported the issues when we returned, they ignored me. Clearly, they didn't care. If you rent from them, do a complete check of equipment before You head out for the rental price. I expected more!

This adorable little guy swam to our kayak and followed us. The kayak company and staff were amazing! We liked leaving from Cannery Row, they were generous with the time. Highlight of our trip.

Wow! We had an absolute BLAST on the 2 hour electric bike tour! Our tour ended up being just my husband and I and it did not disappoint! Our amazing tour guide was knowledgeable and so easy going! Check in was quick (we were ready with our forms before hand) and customer service was top notch! We would definitely book again without thinking twice! We would have done a kayak tour if we stayed another day! Thank you so much for the memories!
