If you are a family with a bunch of kids, you can buy a family pass, but I think the benefit only kicks in with 2 or more children....
I second the local hotel purchase; not a discount in $ but definitely faster to get in (get to go directly to ticket re-entry line). Heard AAA members can get discounts if you buy at a branch or online. Can't vouch for it, though.
