Your monthly rent is due on the same day each month (the anniversary date of the rental). Extra Space Storage provides a five-day grace period before charging a late fee on the 6th day past the payment due date. The late fee assessed varies by state according to local self storage law; the grace period for a past-due payment can also vary by state. 15% of the rent you are paying
Fees are as follows as of 8-15-2018 when I rented there. Late fee per month - 15% of rental rate 6pm on the 10th of the month. PreLien notices- $20 ea sent on 16th of month. Final Lien notices- $20 ea sent 14 days after prelien. Lien sale setup- $25 14 days after final lien is sent. Bounced checks- $25 plus applicable fees. Trash removal - $50 minimum Vehicle liens - $100 + monthly fees. Transfer/name change- $10 Cut lock fee. -$20 ea Alarm fee- $40 per occurance Tailgaiting gate fee- $25 per occurance. Late out of gate fee- $25 per hour minimum.
