I enjoyed my visit during the first week of May. Beautiful weather and the food at the Creole Cookery was the best! Paid parking was available, but best to get around downtown by foot, too see the historic district and the culture of the,beautiful people!

Don't even think about driving in the French Quarter. This is a super crowded town at all time. You literally move faster walking than driving. However, if you are planning to go uptown use the trolley. For $3 you can go across town, but it is slow.
They have metered parking in the area, but it's hard to find one.
