The food is amazing and authentic Creole style cooking. Our service was fantastic and the restaurant was clean. The Gumbo was incredible! The seasonings they use here are very traditional to the culture. There is a fountain in the courtyard and outdoor lights for evening dining. The ambiance is exceptional. Be prepared for an amazing dining experience.

The food was good but expensive for the value. The calamari had only a few pieces, it was a pile of peppers. The steak was good and cooked perfect but the potatoes were dry/old, green beans nasty. My drink was $20. Staff not attentive or friendly. Was hot in there need to turn air up. Probably won’t be back. They do offer a Groupon if want a little discount

We got to New Orleans Creole Cookery early in the afternoon so we were able to avoid a line. We ordered their jambalaya appetizer along with the red beans and rice. They were the best we've had in New Orleans! Perfect seasoned, saucy! We also ordered dessert the peanut butter and chocolate cake and the banana fosters cheesecake. Both were super yummy! Unfortunately, the bananas foster cheese didn't taste like banana anything - it was creamy and delicious, but no banana flavor. We would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone who visits NOLA.

This restaurant was recommended by hotel. Without reservations, we had to sit in bar, were warned they were short-staffed and to be patient. Great atmosphere, batender/waitress most pleasant. Food was divine. Got a desert "on the house" because of our patience. It was worth the wait! Had we been seated in courtyard or dining room with full staff, i would give this a 5-star!

There was not much of a crowd, so there was at least one empty table between parties and guests are required to wear masks when not seated.
Yes, all restaurants in New Orleans require proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test from the past 72 hours in accordance with the citywide mandate.
You should call the restaurant just to be sure.

It starts at 4. Drinks are full priced but you get a discount on the oysters and I think appetizers?
I enjoyed my visit during the first week of May. Beautiful weather and the food at the Creole Cookery was the best! Paid parking was available, but best to get around downtown by foot, too see the historic district and the culture of the, beautiful people!
Happy hour kicks off around 3 and the food and service is great
