Yes, 45 mins.
It is about 45 to the visitor center but you can take another road even higher on the mountain. It is gravel/dirt road and would be another 45 minutes or so with some great specimens at the top.
Be sure to stop at the overlook on the way! 45 min at the extra safe driving speed I use on curvy roads.
