There is a motel there but it's seasonal. I would recommend staying in one of the towns nearby and driving up in the morning /afternoon

Historic Tapoco Lodge or Fontana Village Resort & Marina are nearby in NC. The closest civilization on the TN side is probably Maryville. All the major hotels are here.
