Consider renting Kayaks from Hunter Springs and paddling over to the springs. There's also tour buses that will take to the spring. AND if you wanted to, go on a manatee excursion with River Adventures. Everything you need is included in the price. I think up to twenty people can fo on one boat and it is an excellent experience.
