The animal shelter has scanners and yes, they routinely check stray animals for them. You may want to double check with the microchip company to make sure your contact info is up to date. That said, people will often find a friendly stray, take them home, and not report it to the shelter so never underestimate the power of posting on social media or flyers around where she was lost. Yes, strays brought in are checked for a microchip. If you have not already, file a lost pet report on the shelter's website.
