A guest dose is when you are from out of town and you are here visiting. You dose at whatever miligram you're normally at every day where you're from. You just have to schedule with your counselor when you're going to be here and when.
Individuals in treatment at other methadone maintenance treatment programs who are traveling far from their home clinic may request to "guest-dose" at one of the Operation PAR clinics while they are in the area. They just need to ask their home clinic to send the guest-dose request to Operation PAR. The guest-dose request needs to include a physician's order for what specific methadone dosage, date range, and if any take-home doses are to be dispensed. The guest-dosing fee is $40 for the first day, and then $20/day thereafter.
