We booked a tent site but some of the reviews say the showers and toilets don't work and the bathroom is a porta-potty. Has anyone stayed there recently who knows if the facilities work for us tent campers?

Yes I stayed there a few weeks ago. There are showers and proper toilets. All very clean. There are showers and toilets by the pool also. Very nice campsite

MAJOR infrastructure improvements all summer '22 Admittedly made for more uncomfortable Tenters @ the far end of G/H but neither South Side Tent City (1-7 or 8 sites) was affected If these are your only roadbumps to visiting Pio Pico, Jamul, Indian Village Casino, the canyon dirt Razors & hiking for long-eared rabbits and friendly gray ground squirrels - you can let it go! They got you! They made a plan to upgrade & by Jòb they superceeded Both pools & one spa are open to members and guests, the Country Store is back on a non-emergent virus situation of 9-lunch 1-dinner, 6-? The restrooms are all open except for 1 dilapidated, awaiting its turn to become useful again structure behind the furthest North side, TS's which technically is "closest" but NS RR 3 is stiff competition to photo finish Only requires an extra minute - round trip 🤷‍♀️ Its all good, David!
