I haven't been there in a few years, and I just read a comment from 3 years ago that tenting or even in a trailer is no longer safe. Is it still unsafe?

No it's safe. We had no problems with leaving anything out

No, it's completely safe. I sometimes leave my tent unattended for a day or two at a time and there's never been a problem. Same with my RV.
