Sept 22 should be the last day closed
If im not mistaken it was one of 5 forests which will remain closed until further notice
Hello, this is Jennifer from Los Padres National Forest. The forest is closed temporarily through September 22 due to extreme fire danger. All forest roads, trails, beaches (Pfeiffer Beach and Sand Dollar Beach), day use areas and campgrounds are closed. Hopefully, conditions will improve throughout the state of California and the forest will open on September 23. It's possible that the forest might not open again until October 1.
