It's actually not that dangerous at all, once you follow the rules,,,you should be Fineeeee,,,do family events and get to know your neighborhood.
What William says is true. Don't get comfortable and stay away from what goes on there. They will help you as long as you help yourself. I was a resident and now have my own place. I was there for 3 1/2 months. God blessed me and I am thankful for the Coalition.
Good luck
Dogs aren't I don't believe but the family can stay together. Get there as early as possible and ask about "diversion" which is part of their program that will maybe help avoid the shelter at all and place y'all elsewhere. If you all do have to stay there do your best to stay away from the streets around it. I am a previous resident and although a place is what you make it, for a family, at times there is much danger. Inside the family portion is safe for them and no one is allowed to come in other than residents but stay with the family side. You are able to stay with them if diversion doesn't work. .. I am not sure about married part but if not, they'd put you in the other side which is in the other side of the courtyard and close. I hope they help you all! Diversion is the best bet.
