I have a car in FL I need to register even though I live in CT most the year. I was told to bring Drivers license, title, proof of VIN, FL insurance card to tax collectors office and they can do registration there. Is that so and is that all I need.

If the vehicle is currently titled in Florida and you want to get a Florida title in your name, you will not need a VIN verification. However, if the vehicle is currently titled in another state, the VIN does have to be verified. In which case, you will need to bring the vehicle with you to our office to be verified.
