The Dr and staff was kind and did what they could to make me comfortable. However, I don't think nurse Kristal gave me the actual dosage of meds my Dr prescribed. I watched her hide a vial in her hands with my meds still in it. She walked to the trash can threw stuff away but still kept the vial hid in her hand was in Room 8 on June 11 between 3:00/4pm. (Camera is in room) I don't want to accuse anything but no one answered me when I called for a nurse. I don't want this young lady to lose her job. But I don't know why she would hide it in her hands and walk out. My pain came back within 30mins of dosage the first one last over and hour almost 2. They said they administered 4 morphine when I only had 1. This is illegal and should be monitored for this. For them to falsify the records and bill my insurance incorrectly.

Went into the ER with chest pains due to Covid and 4 and half hours later was still waiting to get a room to be seen by a doctor. Please read the other reviews about wait times and go anywhere but here.

If I could give Brandon healthplex a negative one I absolutely would. Tonight the foreign exchange student that I have living with my family, developed some dizziness and was brought him in to the health plex to be assessed. My daughter went with him as I was out of town on business. When I called to find out what was going on I was placed on hold for over 35 minutes with no one answering the phone So I called my daughter and I said when the nurse comes in the room could you ask her to speak to me. The nurse came in the room, my daughter asked and she said she didn't want to talk to me. And the doctor came in and my daughter asked if he would speak to me because I had some questions and he said for her to tell me whatever he told her.. Nothing is more frustrating than being far away and not being able to have any kind of assessment. I will be calling the nurse manager in the morning this kind of customer service is absolutely abhorrent.

We received top notch care after my son seriously injured himself at school. Due to the nature of his injuries he was taken back to be seen immediately after triage. Everyone did an amazing job of keeping him calm and explaining everything that was happening. All said and done he's now healthy and happy. TGH then went above and beyond helping us after the insurance company decided the diagnostic tests weren't "medically necessary" for his injury. I couldn't be happier with our service!

TGH's BHP Emergency Department has the ability to test for Covid-19. However, getting tested here requires being seen by a emergency department doctor and nurse, as a part of a full emergency department visit. For simple work clearance, without any other symptoms or concerns, it's much easier to get a Covid test via free community testing centers, Walgreen's, CVS, or other drive-through type settings that do not require a full doctor's assessment. That said, the TGH BHP Emergency Department is always available to assist those in need.
Currently, TGH's Emergency Department at the Brandon Healthplex (BHP) has a CT scanner, xray and ultrasound plus a lab. Tower Radiology or TGH on Davis Island have MRI scanners if needed.
