Dr. Amis is incredible. So helpful, so considerate, and so completely respectful. I can't speak to wait time issues mentioned in other reviews, but the care that I got here was absolutely wonderful.

USF Health the quality of doctors here is worth the small insignificant inconveniences there may be in parking, and not getting a reminder on when your own appointment time is.

I've seen a few specialists here, some on a pretty regular basis, for a few years now. I am very happy with my headache specialist, Dr. Anne Csere, in the neurology dept. She has tried numerous treatment approaches and hasn't given up on trying to give me a better quality of life. She makes detailed notes in my patient record/office notes which ended up really helping me with a determination in my hearing/court case. She visits me during hospital admissions at Tampa General when she is on rotation and coordinates my care with whomever the attending physician is if possible. She really knows her stuff when it comes to headache related conditions and the treatment options available (or even contraindicated) for them and she has been great with offering me all she can for my condition. My 3 star rating isn't based on her performance but rather on the things out of physician control and annoyances I've had to deal with in general as a USF Health patient. Pros: Integrated with Tampa General so all medical records from both the hospital and TGMG clinics are accessible to USF Health physicians and vice versa. Uses the mychart system which allows patients to view records/test results, request prescription refills, schedule/request appointments, see all appointments and keep track of schedule, send/receive messages to/from doctors, deal with billing and many other features. Because they're a teaching facility, they use the most up to date and cutting edge treatment methods. Most doctors are well educated in their field and generally have trusted medical opinions by other physicians as well. Have their own radiology dept in the building with appointments available that work with the physician appt scheduled so you can get your imaging done the same day as your appt (if allowed) for maximum convenience if you'd like. Your doctor will be able to view the images themself instead of just reading a report. Also, you'll have access to the report info in your mychart account. Cons: There's no free parking lot. You either have to park in the garage, walk over and pay $3 when you leave. Or, you have to valet park and pay $5. The wait can be pretty long. They expect you to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appt but they don't call you back until AT LEAST an hour, usually more, after your scheduled appointment time. Scheduling an appt can be ridiculous for most specialties... If you have to reschedule for some unexpected reason or need to see the doctor for a previously unscheduled non-routine visit, prepare to have to wait a while to be seen, chances are that appointments are booked up for quite some time. This is one of my biggest grievances! When you call, you reach a call center, not someone in your doctor's actual location... You can't just get a hold of someone in the office to ask a quick question or even tell them you're running a tad bit late. You have to give your message to a representative, they type it in the system and send it over to the office. If you don't get a response to your message, you gotta call back and have them send another message. I've waited SEVERAL days at times to over a week for a response from the office (and been left without super important medication needed daily for seizures) while being given the run around from the call center because there's really no way to hold the actual office staff accountable for returning your call... You can't leave them a voicemail yourself and you just have to hope the person sending the message has provided all of the correct information you gave them. It's extremely frustrating when you don't receive a return phone call within a timely manner or they sent a message with the incorrect information causing delays in the correct action being taken. Because I'm happy with the level of care I'm provided and the ability to share records between USF and TGH under one system, I continue to seek care here despite my annoyances.

2:45pm appointment with #DrDavis. Arrived in the office at 2:40pm. The place is situated like a bank with ropes for a line and 5 people to check you in. I paid and got a receipt at 2:49pm, pictured. Waited almost 30 minutes until called back. Weight and blood pressure checked. Sat in a room waiting for #DrDonaldDavis for 40 more minutes. Nobody apologized or mentioned the wait would be a longer. I left at 4pm. Worse than paying/being ripped off $50 for nothing, not a phone call from anyone checking on me. From beginning to end 2 hours of my day wasted. I would never ever recommend #USFHEALTHSOUTHTAMPA. Understand you'll need to arrive approximately 20 minutes early to find parking in the garage or you'll have to valet. Both are poor choices.

Great care with courtesy and "listening" compassion.
Easily close to 100 on most weekdays.
I'd check with your insurance company. There's several different specialties in the building.
