Carrie and Alex, the owner, of Unique Motors of Tampa have basically sold me a salvaged vehicle. The cost to repair the truck I purchased from them is more than the purchase price. I purchased a 2006 Toyota Tundra V8, 4x4 for $11,500 and had it shipped to Texas just before Christmas 2019- a gift for my boyfriend. It has failed two safety inspections due to extensive corrosion to the frame. The frame actually bent while picking it up on the lift. I have tried all avenues to get the truck to pass the safety inspection, contacting Toyota and two collision repair companies who were reluctant to just patch the corroded areas due to the extensive damage and high liability. I contacted Unique Motors with their only response being that I signed an "As is No Warranty" agreement. This truck should have never been put on the market other than for parts. The frame is a major component of any vehicle and consumers should trust that auto dealerships are listing vehicles with full disclosure and vehicles that meet basic safety requirements. Carrie was my point of contact through TruCar. I was please with the ease and friendliness in working w/Carrie. I spoke with her extensively over the phone and via email about the truck and she was very confident this Tundra was in great condition, denied any damages other than chipped paint and a minor dent on the hood, stating, "this truck is solid, otherwise we wouldn't be selling it." The cost to repair the frame is >$12,000. I bought the truck for $11,500. If I wanted to spend $24,000 on a vehicle, I would have purchased a $24,000 vehicle that I could actually drive legally and SAFELY. I am waiting for Unique Motors of Tampa to make this right. Refunding my money or trading in an equivalent vehicle is a small price to pay versus the amount of business you will lose from my review.

We did some research looking for a new used dually pick up truck before we came here and it's hard to find them. It's very unique that not only did Unique Motors of Tampa Bay have one, they had several to choose from. Car buying can be very stressful and we were looking for the perfect one for us and I have to say that Daniel there was not only extremely knowledgeable about vehicles over all, but lead us to our perfect match. It was the second truck we looked at, only because we had come in asking for one we saw on their website. He made us feel very comfortable with our decision to purchase not only by showing us the car fax, but also by going online and showing us any comparable vehicles to what we were looking at online. Honestly, we had been looking already so nothing really came close to the great vehicle and deal we were getting there. But, it was nice that he looked and wanted to make sure we were happy with everything. Sammy in the finance department was friendly and got us the loan we needed. Everyone there was super friendly and the place was very clean. They have an amazing amount of quality vehicles there and we will buy from them again! I also thought it was very sweet that they take so much pride in their company that they take your picture with your "new to you" vehicle. I have to say it was the least stressful car buying experience we've had and we have purchased and even ordered several new cars from several big dealerships over the years.
