If you have already applied and, are awaiting a medi-cal card, you may want to check with the provider that you selected as well. So, I suggest that you call both parties once again (since it's important) and, explain to them the situation. Also, you may request a temporary one (paper form, that will be there in a couple of days) from the welfare office that will work as a card until the actual card gets there.
