Its usually a two-step process; go in and, apply and, set up an appointment that's within 72 business hours (this step takes about 1and a half to 2 hours), then when you come back to finish the process on your appointed time, the finishing process usually takes about an hour. Also, if you require Emergency Food Stamps, you'll get it on the appointment date.

As others familiar w/the process has stated, it looks like 72 hrs. However, if there is immediate need, & they can confirm that your statements are correct, they have an "expedited" service that can have them issued within 24 hrs.! Probably as soon as your appointment w/them! Good luck! P.S. Catholic Charities can also help you w/food stamps!
go online and applu and they have up to 72 hours to call you. if it is immediate need they have up to 72 hours to put the food stamps on a card for you. if you have no income you will need a sworn statement before they wi grant you.
