Depending on the site and the size of the cars you can park as much as 6 cars(double site). there is ample free parking on shore drive and hwy 38 outside the campground. Some campsites are right next to the roads. Note the maximum number of people per site is 8 people, 16 for a double and is strictly enforced. Reservations for summer go quickly 6 months in advance.

You can buy additional parking permits as long as your campground has enough space for every car to be parked on pavement. I saw 6 cars in one of the group sites.
Our parking area was pretty big. I saw one site that had 3 cars parked diagonally in the spot. They require all tires on pavement, and they were resourceful and got 3 cars in there.
Non that are for overnight parking. But there are parking spots. It's all up to wether you want to take the chance or not.
