You may not believe this, but as a believer in Jesus Christ, the following is absolutely true. When I was 12 years old in 1965 I camped here for two weeks. It was a great in many respects. But, one night little beings opened my tent flap and I was forced through telepathy to cooperate and walk out into the opening where I saw the entire camp in about four long lines walking up to a giant flying saucer. I was amazed to see that the camp counselors were also cooperating in line. I next remember that I was lying on a table and an insect like person, that later was determined to be an ET, walked through a doorway and touched my midsection. I screamed so horribly that it left the room. I had been before a medical machine for a long time. A normal human standing nearby told me in a friendly way that the monster wouldn't be back again and not to be upset. We all ended up in our proper tents and woke the next morning with no memory of it. I remembered with horror in the coming months, waking in terror and sweating, afraid the little "doctor" might return. I found out 15 years later that one of my kidneys is gone. The MRI shows that one of my kidneys was surgically removed. I have no scar. My doctor can't explain it, but I can. I want very badly to locate anyone who was there that summer, as I believe that many have recalled it and lived with it their whole lives. Incidentally, in my Internet search for these people there was yet another report of a UFO abduction at this very camp in the early 80s. Wow.

The landscape was really beautiful. Nice and friendly staff with lots of fun activities! The houses had good heaters during cold nights. Each room had its own restroom and bathroom. All in all, we had a great time there. Highly recommend this camp to everyone:)

we were a group of 40 people including families and friends and spent two nights at this camp. the staff was very friendly ... the food was good ... the lodges were clean ... and the nature was very quiet and relaxing they have many lodging options ... you can stay in a small cabin or large lodge. we enjoyed every seconds of our stay ... specially with the archery, rock climbing and hokey ... petting the reptile was very fun for the kids ... THANKS CAMP WHITTLE'S CREW. highly recommended to everyone, specially to the larger groups

You may want to clarify the question. Are you asking when Camp Whittle opens? Or is "Camp Whittleon" a specific event held at the camp?
Oh you can definitely visit and reminisce! Just call the office to coordinate a good time for both you and for camp.
Check for accommodations in big bear. Its just a short drive away. The hotel in the town next to the camp appeared to be boarded up in January.
12 per cabin... some lodges are 24 ... one big lodge is 48... you should call Camp Whittle to find out what they have that meets your needs...
