Awesome trail. **AUGUST 2022 update - toilets broken and parking lot closed** but you can still park down the road. Loved this trail as it was challenging (steady uphill) but not overwhelming, with amazing views of trees, boulders and distant mountain ranges. A real hidden gem of a trail

This trail is awesome. Just a hair over 7 miles round trip. It has beautiful views of the lake. Many places to take pictures. Humungous beautiful rocks, huge beautiful trees and the views are just breathtaking. It’s amazing to see Gods creation. It took us around 3 1/2 hours round trip but we stopped to take photos, water breaks etc. the terrain is perfect for a good workout. Plenty of climbs. When you get to this one part on top make sure to follow the sign for Grays peak trail to the left. I’m not sure what was to the right but I wasn’t going to find out. I recommend to anyone. Make sure you take Plenty!! Of water.

Trail is nice.but not really in the mountains.more of flat concrete path for walkin, jogging or bike riding. Luckily it wasn't blazing hot because it has no shade at all. But the view is beautiful.

Beautiful trail! It was a moderate hike with some incline. The hike is also dog friendly. The views at the top is also beautiful and you can see the lake! There are picnic areas and a restroom at the trailhead.

I couldn't find it ☹️

I know that this trail was closed for the bald eagles & waiting until Simba fledged. He has fledged, so is the trail open now? Personally I am very happy that we close this trail to help this amazing family have the best possible success breeding!

It may be..? The only place that we seen was closed was Grout picnic area, with yellow tape anyway. Good luck!

What time does it close?
