The Peak is way more kid friendly than the other gyms around. There are 4 or 5 easy routes for kids but they are on autobelays so they won't be able to sit on the rope to rest partway. It's also more scary to come down than with a human belay partner so have them practice descending from 6 ft up a couple times.
Definitely, there are plenty of trails for kids and beginners.
