Pros: 1. Auto belay 2. Do not have to drop in for belay certification 3. The Lemur - light bouldering wall is fun Cons: 1. If you fail the belay certification you cannot give the test again that day and are restricted to auto-belay climbs only ~ 8 climbs 2. Overall height of climbs is less 3. Cushioning is not good under the rope climbing 4. Bouldering area is small 5. Chalk bags are not available for rent!

The route setting is good and I enjoyed it. The top height of these walls are close to half the highest at PG Sunnyvale. The grading here is softer than those at Touchstone - The Studio and PG Sunnyvale.

This climbing wall has a large variety of routes, especially for beginners. There are many top ropes, lead climbs and 8 auto belays at the moment. There is also a bouldering area and a fun bouldering game wall with lights to mark chosen routes.

This place is inside a bigger complex with other venues, and at first it might be confusing. The personnel is extremely kind and attentive. You can go in and climb auto belays, that is a small section of climbing that requires almost no training and knowledge to start climbing. However as most beginners start there, it gets crowded real quick and one can spend here about 20-30 minutes top. After that, you can get certified to perform top rope belay using a device called gri-gri. I'm not a huge fan of it but it works. The certification "exam" is really useful for people to stay safe. There is another section with lead climbing and bouldering that I have not visited as it is mostly for members. The associates were all very kind and helpful.

Climbing equipment does have maximum safe working limits however you'll find that it's difficult to exceed them. If you want to climb on the auto-belay systems I believe they top out around 250 lbs. If you want to top rope I believe around 350 lbs would be acceptable however you need someone within maybe 50 lbs of your weight to belay. I would call to find out exactly how much their wall can handle however I doubt you exceed it.
If by this you mean a bouldering wall then yes, but you're technically not supposed to climb over the ledge.
~$57 per month with autopayment, shoes and harness included.
no.
As far as I know everyone needs a pass to climb, however there may be a discount. Harness, shoe, and chalk bags are priced the same regardless of age.
The Peak is way more kid friendly than the other gyms around. There are 4 or 5 easy routes for kids but they are on autobelays so they won't be able to sit on the rope to rest partway. It's also more scary to come down than with a human belay partner so have them practice descending from 6 ft up a couple times.
You need to get belay certified at the peak. You can do it when you drop by. 20$ for day pass.
