When I was there, 2 women were bear naked. Nobody was harmed though.
I was there in mid August and did not see any in 3 days. But the campground host said we must use the bear proof metal cupboard for our food, just in case. We fit our whole cooler inside the cupboard, plus a large carry bag.
I was the camphost for the 2019 season and yes there are bears at this campground. Please use the bear box and always practice pack it in and pack it out, even at campgrounds.
It is bear country for sure, we did not see one, but the camp hosts saw one the day before we got there
