They were possibly culls or rotten. But that is an excellent question. Following a forest fire a couple yrs. Ago they logged every thing except the old growth cedar which are dead. Over the last couple yrs they are falling over or being blown down. I inquired into milling some or cutting for firewood and was told no with no explanation. Government b.s. is only thing I can think of.
