It was quiet and beautiful. You could hear the wind blowing through the pine trees. We didn't see any wildlife on our visit. Places to park and walking trails. Bathrooms as well.

See that picture of the fish in the water its a shark a 4ft shark. Stay out of the water . This is a great river to fish on . Today one after another Being pulled in . Thats just today . Day before yesterday went out for a couple if hours and caught a red drum about 30 lbs. That was the big prize of the day. Besides a couple of other fish as well. That is my husband who did the fishing, I just do the reading and the relaxing. And of course the wowing . You see that big fish in the water. It stayed in the water because it is a shark a 4 ft shark in the Myakka River. OH my god . I couldn't believe it . They are supposed to stay in the ocean. Or so I thought. Never going in that water.

What a pleasant surprise it’s a beautiful gravel road to ride down or you can pull off and choose one of the trails I have so much more exploring to do but what I’ve seen so far I’m definitely going back

Camping here is like having your own private forest. The sites at flying A are so well spaced and the amount of palms around you makes for a picturesque scene. The campsite was well prepped and the sites are large. Loved staying here and will definitely be back.

Its all primitive sites that you have to hike to get to caint get a car to any of the designated camping areas
Yes
Pretty much anywhere is open to hunt. Can't hunt in the camp grounds. I believe you have to be 100ft it maybe 500ft from structures and parking lots. There are two pieces of private property in the forest that you can't hunt on. Both are near the Jennings entrance. If you pick up a hunting brochure at the main entrance or off fwc website it will show you and tell you the rules. Bow season is coming up in October followed by muzzleloadwe then shotgun. While you can hunt of the trails I wouldn't suggest it between the foot traffic of hunters and non hunters.

Yes , hogs and small game when season
No, definitely not. All the water for the most part is sitting and stale. There is a lot of hogs and wild life in the area too so please be careful of them. They can be aggressive
You can enter at sunrise and have to be out by sunset unless you're hunting. If you are hunting you can enter 1 1/2hr before sunrise and have to be out by 1 1/2hr after sunset.
14days consecutive roughly $12 a night everything is done through reserveamerica.com
The boat dock is on the other side of the river. You drive up to Hwy 41 make a right. Make the next right after you cross the bridge. Follow the road to the end.
^That guy's wrong, you can hunt there in season with your proper licences.
Also deppening on where you go . some of the sites are permite only. State forest or state park
The Myakka State Forest always seem to be a safe place to camp and hike
Only in the campground and you need reservations
To my knowledge you can go to the website register and pay there. You can also get different types of passes for state parks. Hope this helps.
$16 after Reserve America fees and Florida taxes. Base rate is around $8.60
Depending on the individuals situation, that could be possible. You would need to check with the Forest for the available accommodations.
