Yes camping the vault restrooms they talk about are built to withstand very high winds in case of storms or tornados. N every Thursday they are checked n more TP put in them... There is no dumpsters or trash cans. I prefer to take my trash with me when I leave but some leave there's n then on Thursdays if u keep it all together it gets picked up.... I love wildlife but the raccoons have seriously taken over. So hang ur food up in tree's high.

If your traveling a distance to get to the lake I would call the KS state park dept if your concerned about a fire ban. It's a state park so it isn't run by Baldwin City. This also means no alcohol despite the beer cans ect.

Shawnee mission park lake, kill creek park both have trout in them. They are better early spring when they stock them.

You do not need a Douglas County fishing license! Only need a state fishing license!
