Car show YES!!!
There are event periodically throughout the year. This weekend was the GoodGuys car show. We're going into the busy season now (April-October), but the actual Alameda County Fair runs from early June through mid July. You can check their website for a schedule of events at http://alamedacountyfair.com. There is also a GPS equipped app (available for both Iphone and Android) for navigation and attraction schedules while at the fair.
