No this is not a no-kill shelter. They claim that they only euthanize the animals that are really sick but I don't buy it for a second. The other day when my mother, my puppy and I went to north central to drop off some newspaper we saw smoke coming out of the shelter's windows because the incinerator was turned on full blast. They were burning all the animals that they had just euthanized. They are a bunch of hypocrites who only think of themselves and they have absolutely no regard for the pain and suffering of others! They kill the animals due to lack of space, potential adopters, or because they are too sick for anyone to want to do anything for them!
Harbor animal shelter has places that take sick and hard to place dogs and cats. It's called best friends. My daughter volunteers there. We've adopted cats and dogs there.
this shelter does kill animals.a woman there told me she went there to adopt a dog and asked for the dog that they were going to kill soon,which is why she adopted her dog named Coco.
