I decided not let my dog swim due to concerns about water quality , circulation, leptospirosis. However, All the dogs there have been swimming there for many years, with out problems, time for someone to do some research.
It's a water supply source and as others have said dogs swim in it all the time. Not sure about purity , I'd want my dog to be up on all shots like parvo and leptospirosis and other water borne bacteria.
Its toxic algae blooms that would be the concern for dogs swimming here. I would check the park website to see if there are any water updates concerning algae blooms

Yes, the water is safe for dogs. Often, you will see many dogs frolicking in the water.
It's a pond so it's usually pretty muddy but I see dogs play in it a lot
