The schools have given out free passes. Kids came home saying that there are lots of fun activities for them there. Is this true? I have searched and don't see anything with that info.

There is a children's section on the first floor in the newer part of the museum. I did see some kids in a room painting although my belief is that's a class. There is a Hands-On area for the kids age range 3-8. It's a cool place to go although it will not hold a child's attention for a prolonged period of time. Nice park directly across from it.
