You can use your own ammo but not full metal jackets because it is in the Angeles national forest so they don't want a spark to light a forest fire. To transport your gun there if you don't have a CCW permit then your gun has to be kept in a locking safe in the trunk of your car. Then the ammo needs to be in another safe and kept up front on the floor board don't. If your gun is a semi-automatic then make sure that your magazines are with your gun in a safe in your trunk and not loaded and noit in the same safe as the ammo because magazines are considered part of your gun
FMJ is okay, just not steel core.
Ammo has to be non magnetic to shoot there because of fire concerns
Bring ammo brass ammo best. May have to buy theirs if not compliant. But lock up your guns and ammo in seperate cases put in back of vehicle. Do not open case until gun is pointing down range as you open case. Gun should never point anywhere other then down range out side its case. They will let you know if you make that mistake.
Locked in vehicle or trunk is best during transport. You can bring your own ammo as long as it isn't steel. The range officer checks with a magnet.
