Also with your concern about claustrophobia in the MRI the music helps but also have them give you a washcloth maybe one cool with water if that's acceptable or dry one and put it over your eyes that way you're not able to focus on the enclosure and that does reduce the claustrophobia
Hi Gabriele, we do not have an open MRI but patients do go into our scanner feet first. This means that unless a patient is having a brain MRI, they will not go all the way into the scanner. We do offer head phones with music that soothes a lot of patient’s anxiety. If a patient is very claustrophobic, we recommend having your provider prescribe you a muscle relaxant.
