Yes, a referral is needed.

It has been many years since I had an MRI, but it caused me to have some anxiety, I was told that Post Falls has an "open" MRI machine. Can you tell me if this is true?

Also with your concern about claustrophobia in the MRI the music helps but also have them give you a washcloth maybe one cool with water if that's acceptable or dry one and put it over your eyes that way you're not able to focus on the enclosure and that does reduce the claustrophobia
