There is a house down the road from the park that sells firewood for $10 dollars per bundle. Probably need about 3-4 bundles to keep a good fire going all day long. Exit the campground after the ranger office and make a left (away from the highway) and the house is on the left about a mile down the road, there is a little firewood for sale sign on a tree by the entrance to the house so go slow. It's an honor system, put your money in the box and take your wood, and don't be a jerk. Have fun, such a great campground!! Sometimes there is a community firewood dump somewhere near the recreation area. People dump the firewood there when they leave because you cannot take it with you unless you brought it from home. There is some "donation" involved, but I have never had luck finding it, so I go to the house.. Support the locals!!
They do not sell fire wood. They only have a front gate shack with a guard to check you in. There is no campground office. On the campground grounds, you're on your own with everything. It's rustic. What you bring is all you'll get. The closest place to get wood is about 15 minutes away, in town, at Winn Dixie.
I don't know if they even sell it at the Campground. Call the main office for the Withlacoochee State Forest and ask. Google the number.
Firewood is provided st the rv campsite
