Check strava for which trails to ride but China camp, Tamarancho (get a day pass from a cycle shop in fairfax), Soquel (near Santa Cruz) and Mount Tamalpais are great places to ride. Go to a Mikes Bikes or other local bike shop to ask about local trails.

Jay, Head to China Camp! Great flowing trails! If you want more of a challenge head to Fairfax,in Marin, and ride Tamarancho.
As mentioned, most trails are shared use so either ride conservatively or search for a designated downhill trail.
They're all fun and can be fast, but the trails ARE shared by hikers!
