The beach at China Camp had toddlers playing in the sand. The trail my husband and I took out of the campground was not steep. We think it was the Bay Trail. It was rolling but we only took it a mile or so.
Hi! I’m a volunteer at China Camp. All the trails are open to toddlers—and everyone! The coastal route that is mostly flat, just above China Camp Village and the sandy beach (which kids love) is Shoreline Trail. It’s fine for walking but we do have mountain bikers on that trail. The safest option for little ones is Turtle Back Nature Trail; it’s ADA accessible so great for strollers. 3/4 of rolling waterfront trail. Perfect! For more info, see friendsofchinacamp.org
