I went hiking all the way up to China Camp beach. It was a wonderful hike with interesting vegetation. The beach area was also very nice and relaxing. A great easy-level hiking experience.

Cool place. Quiet, peaceful (at least today), call beach water for kids. Dogs on leash allowed.

A beautiful but little known location. Once frequented by Chinese immigrant fishermen harvesting shrimp and other crustaceans. A low-key location often used for photography shoots - in this case my 1972 BMW 2002 tii being shot by preeminent automobile photographer Phil Toy for Collectible Automobiles magazine. One of those “golden light” afternoons picked by him for this purpose. Outstanding photographer.

You get a different perspective of the bay, looking across to Pt. Pinole. Interesting self tour of China Camp fishing village. Clean, run by a nonprofit and volunteers. Small snack bar if you forgot your picnic.

Here's what's posted on the website : The park offers fifteen miles of hiking, mountain biking and equestrian trails. DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON TRAILS. Dogs are allowed on a leash in the campground and in the day use/picnic areas, including the beach.
Come ashore by Kayak or dingy.
How do I reserve a picnic table in front of the store for this Sunday, 10/11 maybe for 2 hours, 11 am to 1 pm.
No. It's a day use spot.
