We were there April 1 and there was absolutely no bloom! Just a very dry terrain unfortunately due to lack of rainfall this last winter.
This year (2021) does not have any real blooms, unfortunately. According to the park volunteers, the blooms will be hit or miss on any given year and this is a bad year.
