Pretty nice campground. Each camp site has a pergola, fire ring and picnic table. Costs tokens to take a shower but wasn't that expensive. Bathrooms were clean.

Perfect campground for families who prefer peace and quiet. Make sure you have enough water as faucets are temperamental. Facilities are pretty good. Only a few hours from town. Enjoy coming here for family getaways.

I have 30 amp services in a very long pull through site. Picnic table, no shade. Looks like tent sites have a modest shelter over table. The location is very quiet. Nights are really dark, no park lighting. I need a flashlight to walk on a moonless night. Awesome view of stars. Borrego Springs has a modest selection of restaurants. I was there in a flash on my e-bike. Only two gas stations in town, $1/gal more than closer to civilization. Phone says I have 2 or 3 bar ATT 5G but it never seemed very fast, but it did work.

The campground was clean and pretty, the walking paths were beautifully marked and well maintained, and the bathrooms were in good shape for the duration of our stay. I really enjoyed being able to bring my dog to camp with my husband and I here - he particularly enjoyed the path from the campground to the visitor center (which is dog friendly). Each campsite had a nice wooden table and small shade structure plus a fire ring and grill. Most sites had easy access to water hookups at their sites too.

Yes you can have fire is the designated fire ring and the office sold fire wood. Having said that, it was way too windy to have a fire. You may encounter that this time of year.
Yes they have hook ups and I saw some very large trailers in the park
They were 2 weeks ago when they recently re-opened.
Almost non existent, don't count on it.
No hot springs here
12p is the checkout I believe. Last time we went out there, they wouldn't even let us in at 1:45. 2p should be check in time
Don't know .i dont think it should matter about our genders what matter is we all get a long dispite of who we are and our colors.
If you tow a motor vehicle (car, Jeep, etc) behind a motorhome it's $10. If you tow a non motorized trailer, whether you sleep in the trailer or the tow vehicle, it's included in the campsite price. not sure if you bring a motorcycle, but I expect it's $10. BTW if someone is coming to pick you up there is no fee, but the expectation is that they come in, pick you up and leave right away. If they hang out at your campsite they are supposed to pay the$10 fee. If the ranger gives you a ticket it will cost about $70
Very nice shower and restroom facilities. Best I've seen!
Salton Sea is about 30 miles.
No. However the Salton Sea is not terribly far away
If you want to stay in the state park you need to call the calif state parks reservation number.
Site prices vary. All are reasonable. Check with the rangers☺
Go to the park's website, and the page about camping. It will tell you if there are any first come first serve sites in that campground, it will also show you the status of the reservable sites and if any are remaining.
There were a few spots available when I arrived, but it would be helpful to have a reservation.
There are "walk up" sites so if you are going mid week or off peak you should be fine without a reservation. But of course going all the way to Borrego Palm Canyon to find out that you don't have a spot can be annoying. If you are willing to Camp primitive that you can actually camp anywhere within Anza-Borrego State Park
