They keep friendly healthy dogs and cats as long as they have space. I have to comment regarding the 2 week old kitten, she was convinced they would put down. As someone who has fostered 95 cats & kittens for them, I know they really try to find foster family to take them until they are 2 lb & ready for spaying/neutering.

Yes they do , I brought in a 2 week old kitten and they told me if they couldn't find a foster then they would put her down. And I already knew they weren't going to try and feed her since they couldn't even feed her for that night.

In my experience they only put down animals if they are sick, aggressive, too young or otherwise unable to be adopted.
