Animal Control North East of town used to take unwanteds, My knowledsge/info is over a decade old. Animal Control is now supposed to be a 'no kill' shelter. Had cages outside for 'after hours' drop offs. Car ride to each place for Updated, procedures/Information inevitable. pet Rescues generally "rescue" from AC or HS. Not directly from "owners".
Do you mind me asking why you have to get rid of him? Humane society doesn't take in animals but the alachua county pet rescue does.
