We've adopted both of our dogs from Haile's Angels! One dog in 2020 and one in 2021. They are a great place! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dog.

Our pocket beagle crossed the Rainbow Bridge after 18 wonderful years together & we are currently searching for another. Haile's Angel's came highly recommended to us by several folks who have either volunteered there or adopted there & say it's a top notch place to start our search. So we plan to see if they have a Female Beagle Puppy or Young Female Beagle expected to be 15lbs to 20lbs that's looking for a forever home.

The shelter takes great care of their animals but every in person experience I have had with them has been very negative. The best way to explain it is that they are painfully self-righteous. Do yourself a favor and head over to the Humane Society of North Central Florida. They are wonderfully helpful, non judgemental, and they truly work with you! I have volunteered and adopted from them and it has been a smooth, pain free, and rewarding process.

The Alachua county humane society would be the place to take them. The rescues don't take in strays from individuals they actually rescue them from animal shelters.

This is not an open intake facility, and they usually pull animals that are already in a shelter. If you need to surrender a pet, I'd recommend contacting Alachua County Animal Services.
They pull from other shelters. I dont think they take from the public

They do have hired employees. I don't know if they are hiring now. It is a small shelter. But so amazing. The people are wonderful.
We are open at the rescue Wednesday through Friday from 10am to 6pm and attend PetSmart adoption events every Saturday.
